Marcus used 80 meters of fencing to cover up a rectangular garden. The length of the garden is 25 meters. How wide is the garden?
The garden is 15 meters wide. The length of the garden is 25 meters, so both sides together equals 50. Then both the sides for the width equal 30. 30 divided by 2 equals 15.
doubling the lenth to find both sides of the rectangular garden gives 50 meters. 80-50= 30 which is equal to both widths of the garden, dividing 30 by 2 gives you the width of one side.... 15 meters
