This blog is an interactive math classroom where my students will be engaged in answering questions pertaining to my lessons and post comments about other students' comments. This blog will serve as an online learning experience for my self and my students. Parents are also encouraged to participate by providing reflective comments about this blog. Alfredo Contreras

the third side will be 204.
ReplyDeletethe isosceles triangle has 2 sides that are the same that are 150.and where those two meet equals 85.9 degrees so then the third side u will use the law of cosines.that is
a^2= b^2+c^2-2(b)(c)cosA.
A=85.9 b=150 c=150 and just plug it in
a^2= 150^2+150^2-2(150)(150)cos(85.9)
a^2= 41782.6 or 41783
you will want to get rid of the squared to get 'a' by itself and to do that you will have to use the square root to bpth sides.
then 'a' will equal 204
Good job Karen, next time be careful with the spelling.
